Back in 2003 the Pitch mentioned us in their Best Of Kansas City for 2003:
Best Bike Rides
128th Street and Holmes
What started as a couple of guys drinking beer and racing bike trails under cover of darkness has become a citywide mountain-biking movement. A few years ago, late-night riding was a beer-addled inspiration for employees at Bike Source (119th Street and Quivira Road in Overland Park, 913-451-1515). Since then, they've discovered that people would join them on the trails if they biked just a little earlier and remained sober just a little longer. Now, a local congregation of two-wheelers meets on Tuesday evenings at 5 at the strip mall at 128th Street and Holmes to ride more than 15 miles of backwoods trails. The rides are open to all ages and ability levels. Afterward, the Bike Source employees who helped popularize the trails lead riders to Pat Murphy's Bar & Grill for cheap tacos and cold beer.
Ah the good old days...
The name of the bar has changed 3 times since then but the ride still happens... at least we're pretty sure it does.
Check out the EarthRiders website to be sure if you are intrested in a Tuesday night MTB ride.

The bar to go to for post Taco Tuesday rides is The Sandtrap. It's at the south end of the strip mall.
